Tornstrom Law PLLC was established in 2019 with the purpose of providing professional estate planning and business formation services to individuals, families, and small businesses, with a additional focus on helping clients learn to manage their finances in the most profitable way.
David K Tornstrom (that’s me) passed the bar in 2000 after graduating with a JD from Suffolk Law School, and was sworn in as a member of the Massachusetts Bar in January 2001.
I spent 17 years as a finance and budget specialist for the New England regional office of the Environmental Protection Agency in Boston, a portion of which I served as the Financial Management Officer under the regional Comptroller.*
After leaving the Agency I worked in various environments doing different jobs or projects, learning about small business operations, setting up and running a small retail store, managing the inventory and shipping for a small eCommerce business, researching and understanding how to obtain licenses from various government entities for specialized types of businesses, forming business entities, and participating in an actual startup.
I volunteered as a trustee at my former condominium association for 15 years, serve as board member/treasurer for my church for nearly 16 years now, coordinated over 10 Financial Peace University and Legacy Journey classes since 2010 and completed the Financial Counselor Training provided by Ramsey Solutions in 2013.
I also just enjoy the opportunity to help people like you understand your choices so you can make the best choice possible for yourself, your family and/or your business.
Please look around the site and let’s start a dialogue about that plan you have in mind and how we can help you put it in writing and make it official.
* For some inexplicable reason (at least I never found one that made sense to me) this position in the public sector is spelled “Comptroller,” whereas in the private sector it is spelled “Controller.” Click here for a quick article on the two titles.
